Cellular Mobile Service
TeleYemen
operates an ETACS cellular mobile telephone service which covers the
major centrrs of population in Yemen. Exchanges in Sana'a, Aden and
Mukalla provide services to these cities, together with Dhamar, Ibb,
Taiz, Hodeidah, Seyioun, Shahr, Al-Qatn and Al-Mahabesha.
Although there is no international roaming, TeleYemen mobile customers
may use their cellular telephones to make International Calls to
almost anywhere in the world.

Voice Mail Service
Service description
Voice mail service offers
mobile customer the facility of recording their incoming calls while
their mobile telephone is switched off, busy or out of coverage area.
Operation instruction
To initialize voice mail:
Dial 198 followed by (
Send Key )
When asked for passcode,
enter 1234 then follow the instructions.
To activate the voice mail:
-
When your phone is
busy, switched off or out of range, dial *7199 then the last five
digits of your Mobile number, followed by the send key.

Or to divert all your
calls to voice mail.
Dial *72 99 and the last five digits of your mobile number. followed
by (Send Key).
To retrieve voice mail messages:
Dial 198 followed by Send
Key.
To deactivate the service:
Dial *73 followed by
(Send Key), you will then hear approximately 10 blips indicating
that your mail is temporarily deactivated.
